Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre celebrates it’s 30th birthday

Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre has celebrated 30 years at the centre of the Ealing community at an anniversary party attended by local politicians, dignitaries, charities, retailers and hundreds of local shoppers.

The Mayor of Ealing cut a specially-commissioned cake modelled on the centre’s iconic Town Square and handed out more than 300 pieces to shoppers and retail staff. The centre was opened by the Queen on 7 March 1985.

British Land bought Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre in 2013 and has developed a comprehensive master plan to refurbish and extend the centre. The first phase of a £12.5m programme to refurbish and modernise the centre was completed in 2014. The remaining phases will be delivered this year, subject to planning.
