Lightspeed partners with iZettle to take restaurant payment mobile
Cloud-based POS platform Lightspeed, and mobile payment service, iZettle, announced a partnership to equip thousands of restaurants across the UK and Europe with a quick and easy technology to take mobile payments on-the-go.
Starting in early October, Lightspeed Restaurant will be fully integrated with iZettle’s payment technology. The automated payment process will reduce errors when finalising bills, ensuring each customer has a positive experience.
The Lightspeed POS and iZettle integration can be used with smartphones or tablets and will ensure secure, efficient payments.
“Our clients that run restaurants and cafés will see the benefits straight away as will their customers.” says Jerome Laredo, Lightspeed POS VP EMEA & Asia. “The iZettle card reader connects to Lightspeed Restaurant through an iPad or iPhone and can be used at the customer’s table to complete their transaction whether they’re using a credit or debit card or even Apple Pay.”
“Customers now expect to be able to pay in the quickest and most convenient way.” says Jens Munch, Chief Strategy Officer at iZettle. “The Lightspeed and iZettle integration improves the speed and accuracy of every transaction, making life so much easier for independent cafe, restaurant, and bar owners.”
Apple Pay is now available to Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland customers in the UK. Processing a transaction using Apple Pay with iZettle through Lightspeed takes less than a minute for each restaurant, retailer and customer.
The iZettle integration with Lightspeed Restaurant release is now available from the Apple Store from Monday 5th October 2015.
