NetDespatch knocks 95% off order fulfilment time for Beermerchants
The NetDespatch parcel data management platform, seamlessly connects the Beermerchants.com Magento order management system with its selected parcel delivery network, and has cut the company’s order processing time from 8 hours a day to just 20 minutes.
Beermerchants.com is the e-commerce site for Cave Direct. Established in 1979, the family owned business sources and distributes top quality beers from all over the world. The company processes around 10,000 consignments a year for delivery throughout the UK via APC Kent, part of APC Overnight; the UK’s largest next-day delivery network.
Prior to implementing the NetDespatch solution, Beermerchants.com had to manually download all their orders, print the dispatch labels and contact the carrier to collect the packages. With year-on-year growth of around 40%, the company needed to introduce a more scalable workflow process.
After reviewing Beermerchants.com’s operational processes, the NetDespatch Retail Solutions team discussed their integration options and preferred user experience, and helped configure a data import template to receive the dispatch data directly from the Magento system. The result is a totally automated dispatch procedure, which processes orders automatically through the NetDespatch Connector application, produces labels in real time, and then returns the carrier’s tracking number back to Magento.
