The gift that keeps on giving: The Prince’s Trust partners with digital gift company, Prezzee

Digital gift card company Prezzee has announced a new ‘Gift and Give’ initiative that will allow customers to support youth charity, The Prince’s Trust, while shopping for presents for loved ones.

The new scheme, which is the first of its kind, is now live on Prezzee’s website. The collaboration allows shoppers to purchase one of Prezzee’s ‘Gift and Give’ cards for themselves, a friend or a family member, with Prezzee donating 5% of the value of every card sold to The Prince’s Trust. There is no additional cost to the customer and the gift card can be redeemed at over 120 outlets, including ASOS, Deliveroo, Uber, and John Lewis. The innovative partnership allows the gift recipient to choose a gift or experience from retailers that they love, while the gift giver can enjoy the fact they have donated to charity.

The Prince’s Trust helps young people who face disadvantage and adversity to get their lives on track, through building their confidence and skills and supporting them into jobs, education, and training. This has become particularly important during the pandemic, with many young people affected by job losses, unstable employment and disruption to their education. Through the partnership, Prezzee aims to help improve the long-term prospects of vulnerable young people across the UK by raising money for The Prince’s Trust through the sales of their ‘Gift and Give’ cards.

James Malia, UK MD of Prezzee, said: “Being able to support a charity that has such an impact is incredibly important to Prezzee. We want to give back as much as possible, and what better way to do so than supporting The Prince’s Trust. Whenever one of our customers choose a ‘Gift and Give’ digital card, not only will they be giving a loved one the choice of a great gift, but they’ll be helping to transform the lives of young people. It really is the gift that keeps on giving.”

Shaun Bonett, Co-Founder, Chairman & Non-Executive Director of Prezzee, said: “As a Director and Patron of the Prince’s Trust Australia, being able to support the charity is something I am truly passionate about. The Prince’s Trust does amazing work with young people to help them transform their futures, and I couldn’t be prouder that we’re supporting this inspiring charity through our ‘Gift and Give’ initiative.”

Tom Lamb, Senior Head of Business Development at The Prince’s Trust said: “Young people all over the UK have experienced long periods of unstable employment and disruption to their education as a result of the pandemic. Many are feeling increasingly worried about their futures and it’s more important than ever that they can access the support they need to build their confidence and skills for work. The funds we receive from Prezzee will make a significant difference by enabling us to support more young people on a pathway to employment in these difficult times.”
