How you can ensure the community won’t forget your business
Business has never been harder. The competition has never been more numerous. Your consumer base has huge amounts of businesses just like your to go to, call, or look up online.
In this day and age you must do absolutely everything you can do to ensure your business is at the forefront of people’s thoughts. This is even more important if you operate out of a physical premises and not just online. You must ensure the community interact with and know your business. You have to be better than the rest in multiple sphere’s if you want to succeed. These tips can get you on your way to ensuring the community will not forget your business meaning you get the trade you need to not only survive, but flourish.
On point branding
You need to ensure your branding is on point, something memorable which also serves as an advertising piece. It’ll give your business a professional look, something that says you’re serious about your business. You can start with uniform. Think about being consistent with you and your staff, these work wear bundle deals can give you an idea. In the same vein you need to make sure that your store sign is similarly coloured, or at least a similar font as your business name on the uniform. Keeping things consistent lead to better recognition. If you use a van or even a car for delivery or business purposes you can use your branding there too, meaning even more people will see it. Branding is important, if it looks different in two places people won’t make the connection and you’ll be building your brand up practically two times slower.
Use old school advertising
Get fliers printed off and get them posted around the area. On this, you can again keep your branding similar to the above. Use coupons or offers to entice people in. Here you need to take note of the people who live in your area. Are they students, then tailor your offers to that demographic. Same as if there’s mainly retirees living in your area. Posters do a great job too just make sure you research exactly where you put them to ensure a lot of people see them. If you wanted to go the extra mile you could even hire space on billboards in your city or immediate area.
Volunteer and help out
Helping out in the community is a great way to get your business name out there. You can volunteer for projects if you have the time, making sure your business name is attached to your contribution. The same can be said of sponsoring sports teams. If you pay for the local teams kit you’ll have your business name plastered all over it. Try to think outside the box. What’s unique to your local community that you can reach out and push your business into the community, in a way people won’t quickly forget. It’s these small bouts of work that’ll set you apart from the competition. It’s always better to act sooner rather than later too, or your competitors will get there first.
