Dassault Systèmes partners with Island Pacific
Dassault Systèmes partners with an international software business, Island Pacific, to extend the power of the 3DExperience Platform to fashion brands and retailers in the UK.
Island Pacific’s solutions are deployed at brands including; Urban Outfitters, PVH, Aeropostale, rue21 and VF Group (Timberland, The North Face, Vans, Nautica), Ralph Lauren, L.K. Bennett, The Dune Group, Hamleys and Primark, to manage inventory, merchandising, point of sale and store management.
Among the Dassault Systèmes industry solution experiences that Island Pacific will offer it’s existing and potential customers are My Collection for Fashion and My Store. These capture and simulate realistic 3D representations of products and their performance within virtual reality retail store environments. Virtual showrooms realistically display ranges before they physically exist. This allows optimal lines to be visualised and merchandised in digital 3D for maximum appeal and profit.
The 3DExperience Platform facilitates the collaboration of global teams, speeds time to market by up to 50%, provides the ability to better understand and respond to customer demand, streamlines complex supply chains and supports decision making at all levels.
Mike Dotson, Island Pacific VP of global sales, said: “Dassault Systèmes 3DExperience Platform enables our customers to enjoy the advantages of PLM, 3D and virtual reality technologies for store and product design, and to collaborate on business processes and development. In a fast-moving and complex environment, this new partnership gives us the ability to help customers meet and respond to industry challenges in advanced, efficient and cost-effective ways.”
Stephen Chadwick of Dassault Systèmes’ EuroNorth, commented: “There is a perfect fit between our two companies. This new partnership brings our fashion industry experiences through Island Pacific to a large and impressive range of fashion companies.”
